Alpha HPA is pleased to announce today that a major civil works contract for concrete construction had been issued, and works had commenced at its Stage Two HPA First Project in Gladstone, Queensland.
Alpha HPA’s Managing Director Rob Williamson said strong progress was being made on offsite fabrication and long lead equipment, while construction had commenced on tank fabrication.
In other milestones, Alpha HPA announced the delivery of orders to 18 new potential customers this quarter to date as global demand continues to grow in the semiconductor sector.
“Inbound demand is being driven by AI data centres and power-semiconductor growth. Test and sales orders are growing strongly with more than 360 orders flowing in since May 2024,’’ Mr Williamson said.
“Alpha HPA is in a unique position to support this demand with our process advantages and production scale.”
Mr Williamson said Letters of Intent (LOI) were being progressively expanded, with LOI now covering approximately 63% of Stage Two production, with a further five in draft or under negotiation.
Alpha HPA’s 10-hectare, state-of-the-art Stage Two facility will leverage the established Stage One operation, and Alpha HPA’s novel, and Australian-owned and developed process IP.
At full scale, the site will be capable of producing 10,000 tonnes of high-purity aluminium products per year, creating 120 additional, ongoing local jobs on top of the 300 jobs during construction.
Alpha HPA’s proprietary process technology offers a unique opportunity to manufacture a wide range ultra-high purity aluminium material that are cost competitive, low-carbon and which leverages off established industrial infrastructure in Gladstone.
Ends.
