Alpha HPA welcomed participants from Deploy Workforce Solutions this week to Stage Two of our HPA First Facility in Gladstone.
Building on a previous visit earlier this year, the tour gave trainees an opportunity to see firsthand the people, skills and careers involved in industrial construction.
Several of the trainees are exploring future careers as process operators and are visiting a range of industrial sites as part of their program. While other visits focus on operational environments, Alpha HPA's Stage Two facility offered a different perspective, providing an insight into the construction phase of a major industrial facility.
The visit prompted plenty of questions, with participants keen to better understand both the project's construction activities and the variety of careers that contribute to large industrial developments.
For some participants, seeing the scale of the project and hearing firsthand from the workforce offered a new perspective on careers they may not have previously considered.
Several members of our Stage Two construction team generously shared their time and experience with the group. By breaking down different aspects of the project and explaining what was happening across the site, they helped participants connect what they were seeing with the people, skills and professions behind the work.
