GREEN TECHNOLOGY

At Alpha HPA, we lead the way in sustainability by using the world’s first, highly selective, scientific process to extract aluminium with pinpoint accuracy. Our process creates a wide range of ultra-high purity aluminium products with dramatically less emissions and waste.

One of the most elegant, efficient features of our Smart SX technology is the by-products of the extraction process are useable. All our by-products are retained and sold on a 100% basis, making us a near zero waste facility.

Alpha HPA is pleased to have achieve a silver medal sustainability rating from independent ratings agency, EcoVadis. This is a fantastic achievement, placing Alpha HPA in the 91-percentile range of companies rated by EcoVadis.

These certifications follow the successful completion of comprehensive documentation, system implementations, and site audits, all achieved without a single non-conformance.

CLIMATE-RELATED APPROACH
AND EMISSIONS REDUCTION STRATEGY

Our business model places decarbonisation front and centre and as such, we have undertaken a review to benchmark our projected performance against other high purity aluminium product producers and developers. This includes mapping prospective disclosures against the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations and development of an emission reduction target, with reference to the Science Based Target initiative.

We’re proudly supporting local and ethical businesses by sourcing from tier one counterparts for our HPA First Project.

INDIGENOUS
ENGAGEMENT

Alpha HPA is committed to indigenous participation, procurement and employment. Our Indigenous Engagement Strategy has been prepared in consultation and engagement with Traditional Owners from the Gladstone region. The Cultural Heritage Management Agreement in place ensures that even if management changes, our commitment to cultural heritage management is retained.
