Alpha HPA Managing Director Rob Williamson joined Andrew Geoghegan on Ausbiz yesterday as part of the Semiconductor Australia 2026 interview series to discuss the Company's role in the rapidly expanding semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors.
Rob discussed how Alpha HPA's ultra-high purity alumina products are being used in advanced semiconductor packaging applications to help manage heat generated by increasingly powerful AI processors and high-bandwidth memory systems. He also explained how the Company's proprietary solvent extraction technology enables Alpha HPA to achieve the demanding specifications required by global semiconductor customers.
The discussion explored growing demand for high purity alumina within semiconductor supply chains, Alpha HPA's expanding customer engagement across Asia and North America, and the importance of long-term customer qualification programs in advanced materials markets.
The conversation also highlighted the growing importance of supply chain resilience and sovereign capability. With all major raw materials sourced domestically, Alpha HPA is providing customers with access to secure and reliable supply chains for strategically important technologies, while contributing to Australia's broader industrial capability.
Alpha HPA is pleased to support Semiconductor Australia 2026. Rob will join industry leaders, policymakers and technology experts as a main stage presenter on 22nd October in Sydney, sharing insights on the role advanced materials are playing in strengthening Australia's semiconductor ecosystem and industrial capability.
