The Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre was abuzz with excitement on Friday as the first-annual Australian Hydrogen Grand Prix roared to life. Alpha HPA proudly sponsored the impressive Chanel College team, who put in a fantastic effort to design and prepare their race car for the H2GP with the help of their science teacher, Priya Arora.
The students of Chanel College showed exceptional problem-solving skills and ingenuity as they worked with real-life fuel cell technology and renewable energy sources to create a car that truly stood out on the track, as they took out 10th place out of the 20 cars in the race. Their performance was a testament to their commitment to excellence and innovation.
As mentors to the team, Alpha HPA couldn’t be more thrilled with their performance at today’s race. The team showed great professionalism, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the competition, and we are proud to have been a part of their journey.
“We believe that investing in STEM education is critical to the future of our industry and our community,” said Alpha HPA COO Rob Williamson.
“We are proud to have supported Chanel College in this endeavour and hope to continue to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.”
The Australian Hydrogen Grand Prix is a ground-breaking event that showcases the potential of hydrogen fuel cell technology and renewable energy sources. Alpha HPA is committed to supporting the development of this technology and looks forward to continuing to work with the next generation of engineers and innovators again next year.
